These Ontario vanity plates were rejected in 2022

Creative and crude attempts get stamped with disapproval

They say a car can be an extension of your personality and while that can include fuzzy dice hung on the rearview mirror, eyelashes on headlights and a unique paint/wrap design, Personalized License Plates (custom/vanity) are still popular.

As per a recent CP24 article, between January 1st and December 8th, 2022, some applicants unsuccessfully attempted to get their creative ideas approved.

Here are some of the plates that got forked into the rejection pile for being obscene:

2020.WTF
AREUDUMB
BYEBXTCH
DAAAAMN
FOXSAKES
HECKIN
WADDAFAK

Personally, “DAAAMN” would’ve been green lit as I don’t find it offensive but until I get that coveted job of approving vanity plates, it stays in the unapproved column.

Political and law enforcement plates are also denied, including:

OHOPOPO
GRETAWHO
PREZIDNT
VV.PUTIN

Violent plates? Nah:

CROWDKLR
DOGFIGHT
ISELLGUN
R3DRUMM
RDRUM
REDXRUM
REDRUUM

The Ontario’s Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery says these were too hard to read, to which I disagree:

JU5TSOLD
KOBEEEEE
LE4F5
MR.FR35H
OLDSKOQL
SORRRRRY
WAK4NDA

If the applicant requests a review, plates could get a second look but with no promises on approval.

What would you pick as a personalized license plate?
