Stolen vehicle driven through Vaughan Mills in Ontario
The suspects nabbed a 2011 Audi A4 in Laval and drove it all the way to Vaughan, all for some free electronics

A Laval-based owner of a 2011 Audi A4, the star of the video seen below, was trying to sell her car to accumulate some funds for a down payment for a house. Little did she know that the person who came to test-drive the car was going to leave with it, without paying, and in a hurry.

A Facebook Marketplace ad was answered by an interested party last Sunday afternoon. Two test drives were performed but the second one proved to be too much for the owner. The potential buyer was driving dangerously, so the owner asked to retake the wheel. She stepped out and by the time she’d made her way behind the car, the “shopper” had taken off with her Audi.
Fast-forward to Wednesday morning when the ex-Audi owner received a phone call from the York Regional Police. We can only assume the call went something like this: “Ma’am, we believe your car was involved in a Blues Brothers’-type mall driving incident, but without all the chaos and upbeat music.”

In fact, her 2011 Audi A4 had traveled about 550 kilometres undetected from Laval to Vaughan before being caught on surveillance cameras smashing through the Vaughan Mills’ glass doors at around 1:10 a.m. The driver proceeded to drive around the mall, and at one point during the tour, the hooded suspects stopped to pick up some free electronics, some souvenirs, if you will. The suspects then crashed once more into a set of doors and escaped. The cops showed up shortly after 1:30 a.m. but the thieves had already checked out, well, they didn’t really check out since that would involve a register, cashier, etc. Basically, they were long-gone.
Currently, police are looking for information on the car and the suspects’ whereabouts. No descriptions of the criminals involved are available at this point in time.
