Ram will make its Havoc Edition trim available on its 1500 Rebel model for 2023, the automaker said mid-May, after debuting the package on the 702-horsepower TRX in December of last year. While the Rebel version gets the same Baja Yellow paint as its big brother, as well as a host of off-road-focused goodies on the inside, when it comes to powertrains, you’ll have to settle for the 5.7-litre Hemi eTorque V-8—which isn’t really settling at all.

Like the TRX, the Rebel Havoc Edition is designed for leaving pavement behind and hitting the dirt. To that end, besides the yellow paint, graphics, and mandatory Level 2 Equipment Group, it comes with Off-road Pages built into its 12-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, plus heated front seats and steering wheel; and an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat. Beyond that, Ram notes its “Selec-Speed Control is new on Ram 1500 Rebel for 2023, and allows the truck to maintain consistent speed while traversing variations in slope.”

But more apparent than any of those goodies is that bright Baja Yellow, contrasted by black mirrors, black badging, black bumpers and grille, and gloss black 18-inch wheels. Oh, and don’t forget some sweet Rebel graphics on the hood and bed.

The Rebel Havoc Edition marks a much more affordable way to get into a Havoc-branded Ram, with an MSRP starting at just $78,180 in Canada, before destination; compare that to the $120,980 that the Ram TRX Havoc would set you back. But if you want one, you better move fast—ish. Ram says the Havoc Edition will be “available in extremely limited quantities,” without specifying exactly how limited that quantity is. The 2023 Ram 1500 Rebel Havoc goes on sale later this spring.
