2023 Ram ProMaster Window Van

The Ram ProMaster window van gets several updates for 2022, including a nine-speed automatic transmission in place of a six-speed; new Uconnect 5 with Wi-Fi capability, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated Alexa, and Ram Telematics Module; and the electric power steering has been recalibrated for better steering feel and variable assist.

Performance

The ProMaster uses a 3.6L V6, making 280 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, with the new nine-speed automatic. Its front-wheel drive configuration is unique in the full-size segment, giving it a lower step-in height.

Practicality

The ProMaster window van comes in 2500 and 3500 rating, both with a 159-inch wheelbase and high roof, but the 3500 has a longer body. However, while other manufacturers primarily make their window vans as passenger vehicles, the ProMaster only comes with two front seats. If you want to use it for moving people, you’ll need to have seats added by an upfitter.

Value

At a starting price of $49,645 for the 2500, and $51,645 for the 3500, the ProMaster undercuts some of its rivals, but you’ll have to factor in adding seats if you want to use it for passengers. Standard features include front collision warning, drowsiness detection, post-collision braking, and electric parking brake.
