The 2023 Ram 3500 receives some new available features for the model year. These include a 12-inch customizable digital gauge cluster; a digital rearview mirror; telescoping trailer tow mirrors; a Mopar sport performance hood for the Laramie and Limited; and trailer reverse steering control, which lets you use a dial instead of the steering wheel. The camera system is now enhanced with multiple view modes, behind-trailer view, blind-spot view, and a trailer tow pages app.
The Ram 3500 employs a 6.4L V8 that makes 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Two diesel choices are available, both of them a 6.7L inline-six Cummins turbodiesel. In standard output, it makes 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque, while the high-output version makes 420 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. Both diesel choices use a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2023 Ram 3500 is available as a Regular Cab with 8-foot bed; Crew Cab with 6-foot-4 or 8-foot bed; and Mega Cab with 6-foot-4 bed. The Mega Cab is similar to the Crew Cab but it’s longer, with more rear-seat legroom and with storage space behind the rear seat.
Depending on configuration, the Ram 3500 has a maximum payload capacity of 7,680 lbs, and can tow up to 37,090 lbs. Dual rear wheels are available as an option.
The 2023 Ram 3500 starts at $57,795. The base Tradesman trim comes in Regular or Crew Cab, while the Big Horn comes in Regular, Crew, or Mega Cab. The Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited are available in Crew or Mega Cab.
