The 2023 Ram 2500 receives some new available features for the model year. These include a 12-inch customizable digital gauge cluster; a digital rearview mirror; telescoping trailer tow mirrors; a Mopar sport performance hood for the Laramie and Limited; and trailer reverse steering control, which lets you use a dial instead of the steering wheel. The camera system is now enhanced with multiple view modes, behind-trailer view, blind-spot view, and a trailer tow pages app.
The Ram 2500 starts with a standard 6.4L V8 that makes 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All but the Power Wagon trim can be optioned to a 6.7L inline-six Cummins turbodiesel that makes 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission.
All trims except the Power Wagon start in 4x2 configuration, and all can be optioned to 4x4 that’s standard equipment on the off-road-ready Power Wagon. All except the Power Wagon can be optioned with an auto-levelling rear air suspension. Depending on the trim and configuration, the Ram 2500 has a maximum towing capacity of 20,000 lbs.
The 2023 Ram 2500 is available as a Regular Cab with 8-foot bed; Crew Cab with 6-foot-4 or 8-foot bed; and Mega Cab with 6-foot-4 bed. The Mega Cab is similar to the Crew Cab but it’s longer, with more rear-seat legroom and with storage space behind the rear seat. It comes in 4x4 configuration only.
For off-road fans, the Power Wagon includes front and rear locking differentials, front and rear Bilstein monotube shocks, front disconnecting stabilizer bar, and an integrated winch as standard equipment.
The 2023 Ram 2500 starts at $56,795. Trim choices are the Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Power Wagon, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited.
