Now entering its third model year since its 2020 redesign, the eighth generation of the compact Sentra sedan is available in three primary trims — S, SV and SR — with available packages or special editions offered for each. The newest is the Midnight Edition Package, complete with black exterior trim and special black 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, offered on the sporty SR trim.
The Sentra is powered by a fuel-efficient 2.0L four-cylinder rated at 149 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. The car is available in either a six-speed manual transmission (S and SR), or with the latest generation Xtronic CVT.
Nissan transformed the formerly dowdy four-door into a sharper-looking sedan with this latest generation, emphasising interior refinement, increased safety, seamless connectivity, and better performance. Inside, available amenities range from leatherette-appointed, heated front seats and heated outside mirrors to Nissan's well-regarded Zero Gravity seats. Infotainment and connectivity features include an available floating eight-inch multi-touch centre display and NissanConnect featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Pricing starts at $19,498 for the S trim with manual transmission and tops out at $26,998 for the topline SR Premium trim with continuously variable transmission.
