2021 Nissan Titan

The Nissan Titan and Titan XD get a refresh for 2020. This includes a retuned V8 engine, a new nine-speed automatic transmission in place of the previous seven-speed, new grille, and exterior styling cues unique to each trim level. The interior is also updated, including an available 9-inch touchscreen with WiFi. Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of safety technologies including emergency front and rear braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and high beam headlight assist is standard on all trim levels. The 5.0-L V8 Cummins turbodiesel previously offered on the Titan XD is no longer available. Both the Titan and Titan XD come in Crew Cab, with 5-foot-5 bed on the Titan and 6-foot-5 bed on the XD. Both are 4x4 only. The XD is taller, has a longer wheelbase and overall length, larger brake rotors, and higher towing capacity and payload; Nissan markets it as halfway between a half-ton and heavy-duty truck. Both models use a 5.6-L V8 with nine-speed automatic transmission. Power is advertised at 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, but only on premium fuel. With regular-grade gasoline, the peak numbers are the same as in 2019, at 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. The Titan comes in S, SV, SV Premium, PRO-4X, PRO-4X Luxury, and Platinum trim. The XD comes in SV, PRO-4x, and Platinum Reserve trims. Maximum towing capacity for the Titan is 9,270 lbs, and maximum payload of 1,580 lbs. The Titan XD has a maximum of 10,790 lbs conventional towing; 11,050 lbs for fifth-wheel towing; and payload of 2,240 lbs. Both Titan and Titan XD are covered by a 5-year/160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty.
