2023 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

According to GM, the Trailblazer provides “a uniquely youthful, yet functional alternative to the fast-growing small SUV segment.” Essentially the Chevy version of the Buick Encore GX, the Trailblazer is offered in LS, LT, Activ and RS trims.

Performance

AWD Trailblazers are powered by a turbocharged 1.3L three-cylinder making 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque and paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The AWD system is the same as in the Blazer and Traverse. Powering the front-wheel-drive LT and LS is a slightly smaller 1.2L turbocharged three putting out 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a standard CVT.

Practicality

The Trailblazer’s exterior styling, which follows in the theme set by the Blazer, features Chevy’s signature dual-port grille. The accent bar is integrated with the headlamps, while a simulated front skid plate adds a macho touch. The Activ trim package amplifies this sporty style with a two-tone roof, unique front and rear fascia and dual exhaust, along with sport terrain tires and suspension tuning enhancements. The RS, meanwhile, features blacked-out exterior cues, unique mesh grille, dual exhaust with chrome tips and more. Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure qarning, following distance indicator, forward collision alert and IntelliBeam auto high beam control.

Canadian Pricing

For 2023, the Trailblazer starts at $24,198 for the LS FWD. The LT FWD is $25,898. AWD models start at $26,198 for the LT and top out at $30,498 for the RS.
