Unlike its sister A6 sedan that can be had with either four-cylinder of six-cylinder power, the swoopy A7 Sportback runs only with the 2.9L turbocharged V6 that, with its 48-volt mild hybrid system, makes 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power gets to all four corners via quattro all-wheel-drive and an 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The A7 Sportback gets standard sport suspension and 19-inch wheels, making it a capable handler that also delivers a well-judged ride.

The 2023 Audi A7 Progressiv starts at $83,900, and arrives equipped with leather, heated steering wheel and a comprehensively list of safety and driver aids. Moving up to the $92,000 Technik adds ventilated front seats, head-up display, adaptive cruise and the option to spec air suspension, rear wheel steering and laser headlights.
